Mexican day of the dead

9A2 have made such a lot of progress today. 

They have really focused their skills and considered adding detail through painting flower designs and colour, some were even making flowers. Their contextual studies are really helping them with ideas. I can't wait for our next lesson 9A2, very proud of how you have worked today.

Mexican Day of the Dead

9B1 and 9B2 have been starting their masks for their Mexican day of the dead project today.
They have done some research into the festival and the history of sugar skulls. Now they are beginning final pieces. Watch this space to see their progress,very exciting!

Year 7 cakes

Year 7 are currently looking at the paintings of Wayne Thiebaud. 

They are showing their influence from his style through their use of bold colour and strong shadows. 

These are still incomplete but look fantastic already! 

Love these year 7B1, they are fab! 

Can't wait to see them finished.
