Great ideas!

Year 11 Clay workshop 2016

Fantastic work achieved by year 11s in the clay workshop this week.

Everyone has worked so hard to create large sculptural pieces that can now link in to GCSE portfolios. Thanks to Mrs O'Leary who worked so hard this week keeping every one motivated. She shared her super clay skills and gave out great advice. Now the sculptures need to dry, be fired, glazed, painted and oxided.
I'll put updates on the blog when they are finished.
This is just a small selection, more to follow. Well done to all!

Preparation for the clay workshop

Some super displays went up in room 18 today, thank you Mrs Jones! Year 11 are ready now to do their clay workshop with Mrs O'Leary tomorrow.

There are lots of great examples of what was produced last year plus the very important development sheets to lead up to the day.
Good luck year 11 tomorrow, I look forward to seeing what you create!

Great homeworks from 10A

It's been a very busy 2nd week back at Corbet with all pupils settling back into the routines of the art department. Valuable home works came in from 10A yesterday. We are working on the first part of the portfolio and pupils are responding to and collecting research for African masks and Mexican day of the dead masks. So much effort has gone into these home works, well done 10A.
Let's hope you find your research useful. More effort like this please.
