Year 9 exploring new techniques

Year 9 are currently exploring new techniques as they work on the Mexican day of the dead project. Some pupils are doing glass painting and others are having a go at silk painting.
These are examples of the outline stages, as soon as they start adding colour,
I will take more pictures!
What's not to like!
Well done year 9 for being so open to new processes.

Year 9 exploring Surrealism and 7B2 experiment with paint.

Last day of the first 1/2 term today.
Everyone has worked very hard in the art department producing some super work.
Here are some examples of the homework brought in by 9A2 and 9A1.
They have been studying the eye and facial features this term and their homework was to create Surreal eye. They have really shown some fantastic ideas today. Well done year 9.
7B2 have been exploring  paint as we prepare for a painted insect project after 1/2 term.
Lots of great art going on!

Well done everyone, have a great 1/2 term!
