Year 9 exploring new techniques

Year 9 are currently exploring new techniques as they work on the Mexican day of the dead project. Some pupils are doing glass painting and others are having a go at silk painting.
These are examples of the outline stages, as soon as they start adding colour,
I will take more pictures!
What's not to like!
Well done year 9 for being so open to new processes.

Lower school art club

Wonderful work being created in art club at the moment.
Mrs Gascoine has been showing pupils how to make Day of the dead skulls in clay.
They look fantastic  and are currently being painted.
I can't wait to see them finished.
Well done art clubbers!

Mexican day of the dead

9A2 have made such a lot of progress today.
They have really focused their skills and considered adding detail through painting flower designs and colour, some were even making flowers. Their contextual studies are really helping them with ideas. I can't wait for our next lesson 9A2, very proud of how you have worked today.
Well done!
