2018 Pottery club

Pottery club started again yesterday.
Lots of year 7's and 8's began their pottery course by making slab fish dishes, really creative use of the clay.
I'm really please to see how well they started the course.
I will upload the outcomes as the get finished.
More to follow.

Lower school art club

Wonderful work being created in art club at the moment.
Mrs Gascoine has been showing pupils how to make Day of the dead skulls in clay.
They look fantastic  and are currently being painted.
I can't wait to see them finished.
Well done art clubbers!

FISH!

Stunning work year 10.
These are a small sample of our ceramic fish.
Pupils have used a copper oxide to give the beautiful green effect and then sponged white earthenware glaze over the top.
I'm so thrilled with these out comes, well done!

Finally..... finished corals.

Stunning painted corals completed by year 10 last week and today.
They have looked at the work of Courtney Mattison and Diane Lublinski for inspiration.
The outcomes are inspiring.
Well done year 10, I love them!
